Josh Allen Speaks on Marriage to "Best Friend" Hailee Steinfeld
Josh Allen has the ultimate teammate in Hailee Steinfeld.
Despite winning his first NFL MVP award earlier this year and scoring a $330 million contract extension shortly thereafter, the Buffalo Bills quarterback proved he has his priorities in order when asked about his recent accomplishments.
“They've all been big,” he said during a June 10 press conference in Orchard Park, N.Y., before noting, “none other than marrying my best friend.”
The newlywed then elaborated on why his relationship with the Sinners star has been especially transformative.
“She makes everything easier, so I don't really focus on the other stuff,” he continued. “That was the most important decision I'll make in my life—and I made the right one.”
And while Josh, 29, has been riding a career high, he hasn’t been shy about crediting Hailee, 28, for helping him step up his game.
“She’s been a huge part,” he gushed in an interview with the Associated Press in December. “The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best.”
The couple, who were first romantically linked in May 2023 and got engaged in November, officially tied the knot May 31 in Montecito, Calif., surrounded by family and friends. The star-studded guest list included Josh’s teammates Dawson Knox, Spencer Brown, Mitch Trubisky and Shane Buechele, who served as groomsmen, while Larry David was also in attendance.
Fittingly, the wedding venue was just up the coast from where Josh popped the question last fall.
“We were in Malibu, which is my happy place, and it was magical,” Hailee told Who What Wear in February. “That's the word.”
And the “Starving” singer wasn’t just impressed by the stunning waterfront setting Josh picked out for the romantic occasion.
“I'm so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good,” she went on, “and we have these photos that we'll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I'm not looking at being like, 'What was I wearing?'”

Hailee and Josh confirmed they were engaged in a November 29 Instagram post showing the athlete getting down on one knee as the Oscar nominee leaned in to give him a kiss. They captioned the post with the date of their major milestone: 11-22-24.
Just a few months after their engagement, Josh and Hailee officially made their red carpet debut at the NFL Honors, where he was named MVP. And during his acccepance speech, he gave her a heartfelt shoutout.
"You’ve been my rock and my best friend," he told her. "I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”
